Activities

Activities:

The ZenG Project implements a structured set of activities designed to improve youth mental health support through research, educational development, digital innovation, training, and dissemination. Each activity contributes to the project’s overall aim of equipping youth workers with practical tools to support young people’s emotional resilience and well-being.

Project Management and Coordination

Strong project management forms the foundation of ZenG. Led by Avec Nous, this activity ensures effective coordination among all partners, clear communication, timely implementation, quality assurance, risk management, and transparent reporting. Through regular online meetings, shared digital workspaces, communication planning, monitoring, and evaluation, the consortium works collaboratively to deliver high-quality results.

The Kick-Off Meeting brings all partners together at the beginning of the project to define roles, responsibilities, timelines, communication procedures, and implementation strategies. Hosted by EQUALINE in Greece, the meeting establishes the framework for cooperation and ensures that all partners are aligned with ZenG’s goals, quality standards, and expected outcomes.

ZenG begins with a research and needs analysis phase led by Avec Nous. This activity explores the mental health needs of young people and the support requirements of youth workers across partner countries. The findings provide the evidence base for the development of educational content, training modules, and digital tools that respond directly to the realities of the target groups.

Based on the research findings, the partners develop educational materials focused on mindfulness, emotional intelligence, resilience, stress management, self-care, and mental health awareness. These materials are designed for use by youth workers, educators, and organisations working with young people, especially those from disadvantaged or rural communities.

One of the central outputs of ZenG is the creation of digital tools that make mindfulness and mental health resources accessible beyond physical training activities. These tools may include instructional videos, guided meditation audios, interactive modules, learning materials, and practical exercises. The digital resources will be available through the project website, allowing youth workers and organisations to continue using them after the project ends.

The first training activity, hosted in France by Avec Nous, offers participants hands-on experience in applying mindfulness techniques and emotional resilience practices. Youth workers and educators learn how to integrate these tools into their work with young people, creating more supportive environments for stress management, self-awareness, and emotional regulation.

The second training activity, hosted in Sweden by Well-Being Lab, deepens participants’ understanding of mental health, emotional well-being, mindfulness, and peer support. This activity strengthens the capacity of youth workers to deliver the project’s content effectively and to support young people in developing practical coping strategies.

Dissemination is essential to ensuring that ZenG reaches a wide audience. Each partner organises national dissemination activities and multiplier events to present the project results, promote the digital tools, and engage youth workers, educators, mental health professionals, local stakeholders, and community members. The project website serves as a central hub for resources, updates, and long-term access to the project’s outputs.

The final meeting, hosted by Avec Nous in France, brings the partners together to review the project’s achievements, assess the quality and impact of the results, finalise reporting, and plan sustainability actions. This meeting ensures that the tools, knowledge, and partnerships developed through ZenG continue to support youth mental health initiatives beyond the project’s lifetime.
